I recently updated my iPhone 4. In the process, I was forced to delete everything off of the phone in order to support the data. Now that my phone is updated it is incompatible with my iTunes (10.6.3). As a result, I've had to resort to listening to Pandora which has been extremly frustrating knowing that I had iTunes on my phone prior to updating my iPohne to the latest software...
iTunes updates can take a while to propagate, making downloading from Apple the quickest way to get the newest version. If you download from the official iTunes website you do not need to enter an email address, instead click the giant blue download button on their site to begin. For OS X the download weighs in around 170MB.
Itunes Download For Mac Os X 10.6 3
In addition to these fixes, the update adds support for the iOS 6 beta that was released to developers today at WWDC 2012. The update is a 170MB download for OS X users, but is also available for Windows (both 32-bit and 64-bit) as a smaller 75MB download. These are available through Apple's Software Update services but can also be downloaded from the iTunes Web site.
I have an old iMac that is running on OS X 10.6.8 and all of the new Xcodes aren't available on a Mac like mine. Could someone please tell me how to download an older version of Xcode that is available for my Mac. Also, if I download this older version, will people that are on iOS 8/9 be able to go on them? I'm guessing that in the app description it will say availble for iOS 5 and so on? Thanks for all your help!
You can download old Xcode versions from the Downloads link in the iOS Dev Center if you have a paid developer program membership. If you just have a free membership then I don't think the older versions are available.
FWIW, there is no version of Xcode that will both run on 10.6.8 and will allow you to submit to the App Store. The latest version of Xcode that supports 10.6.x is Xcode 4.2, while the minimum version of Xcode that can build arm64 code (which is required for App Store submission) is Xcode 5.x (which itself requires OS X 10.8.4 or later)
Describe 'doesn't work' - try to to put some effort into this time, rather than phoning it in and making others guess....won't download? Downloads but borked? Download is good but won't install? Install works but won't run? Runs but crashes? Runs ok but doesn't like your projects?
Sometimes users need to install an old version of iTunes, on Mac or Windows computer to perform some specific tasks that must require old iTunes version and probably not possible with the latest iTunes. So, here you can download old iTunes versions from official Apple links.
IPSW Downloads has supported downloading iTunes versions for many years, however recently this task has become too challenging to maintain. As of iTunes 12.9, Apple no longer provide a direct download to the macOS versions of iTunes - they are only available via the macOS Mojave (and later) App Store.
This means that IPSW Downloads cannot retrieve the iTunes versions or download files, and therefore is unable to keep them up to date. IPSW Downloads will freeze its current iTunes versions and no longer attempt to find information about new ones.
The latest ServeToMe 4 for Mac requires a 64-bit Mac running Mac OS X 10.9 or newer.Users of Mac OS X 10.7 can download ServeToMe 4 build 0165 and Users of Mac OS X 10.6.8 can download ServeToMe 4 build 0129. These builds should work correctly with the latest versions of StreamToMe in most cases but you should *disable* the "Verify external address on startup" checkbox on the Advanced tab (it will give misleading results) and if you're running the 0129 build with StreamToMe on iOS 10 or newer, you must leave the "Users" table empty or you will encounter playback errors when trying to play media.
ServeToMe does not work with iTunes downloaded through the Windows Store. On the iTunes download page, you must look under the "Looking for other versions?" heading and select "Windows" to download the version outside the Windows Store.
ServeToMe 4 is recommend for all users of StreamToMe 3 and newer. If your computer doesn't meet the requirements or you're having problems and would like to try an alternative, you're welcome to try the previous version of the ServeToMe server from the following download links:
"Local servers" discovery and port mapping require Bonjour (part of iTunes or download separately from Apple.com as part of the Bonjour Print Service for Windows). ServeToMe requires .NET 3.5 or greater. If not present, you will be prompted to download .NET 4.0 when you run the ServeToMe installer.
A basic change history is available:macOS ServeToMe changes
Windows ServeToMe changes

iTunes is a multimedia player and device manager. A comprehensive music store, originally made for Apple users to download and play music. Now available on Windows too, iTunes is the perfect place to organise music, watch TV shows and movies, create playlists and more. Through iTunes, users are equipped to record CDs, edit music files, purchase music and videos from the iTunes Store, and basically access music easily and legally
iTunes is an excellent program to organize and a personal music repository. Thousands of downloaded songs and albums are easy to categorize, sort, and create custom playlists. Essentially an mp3 player, iTunes allows users to shuffle through their song collection, to experience randomized song playlists, enhancing the listening experience. For Apple users, iTunes can sync on multiple devices, so you can maintain the iTunes library across devices. The visualizer feature adds graphical effects to the song being played, adding a new layer to the music experience. iTunes is also a great platform for movies and TV shows, One can edit, rename, or move files, and even change the file format. The music can be played across devices, which are not restricted to Apple devices anymore. One can easily purchase music through the iTunes store, and have access to millions of songs and albums from across the world. iTunes also now has a Radio feature, which connects you to radio streaming channels from across the world, covering a number of genres, topics, and music preferences. While predominantly perceived as a music organizer, iTunes also has a vast library of e-books, podcasts, audiobooks, videos, and more.iTunes is, in fact, ideal to store audiobooks and organize them properly.
An excellent user-friendly interface, with simple navigation and features, makes iTunes a great platform to store and experience music. For those users who remember having to sieve through messy folders for music, iTunes came as an absolute boon. Now, apps and music are so readily available, iTunes is still the place to store an entire library of downloaded mp3, which is not streaming online, but owned by the user. Whether users access it from the Mac or from an iPhone or any Windows system, the quality of the program and the seamless experience remains the same.
The biggest drawback of iTunes is the restrictive nature of acquiring music or accessing new music. While the program itself is free, most new features require a paid subscription. Radio or streaming of videos also requires a paid subscription or is pay-to-download. Other music apps or even YouTube, which offer so much readily available free content for streaming are fast becoming the user preference. Music lovers do not now need to download songs, that they can stream any time. Unless one has a large library of downloaded music, millennial listeners just need to go on any streaming app and get access to unlimited songs and music videos.
An excellent multimedia library and device manager, that lets users maintain a personalized library of songs that are saved, instead of streamed. The downloaded or ripped files belong to the user and are accessible at any time. Even in the age of online streaming, there is merit in having a collection of music, video, and books, just for personal consumption, and iTunes allows users to maintain this expansive collection. iTunes is easy to use, great for sorting music according to artists, albums, genres, and songs. Even with no internet or net facility, one can access music on the device and is a personalized media consumption. iTunes is the go-to library for users with a vast collection of music, and with a Windows version, it now has a reach much wider than the Apple loyalists.
Insert Snow Leopard retail DVD (OS X 10.6.3) > Disk Utility > highlight the DVD drive (not the "Mac OS X Install DVD" volume) > File > New Image > Image from "Untitled" > select read/write format (though, according to VMWare, any format should work) > assign desired filename (e.g., SL.dmg) and location (e.g., Desktop) > Save
Right click SnowLeopard in list of virtual machines > Show in Finder > right click SnowLeopard.vmwarevm > Show Package Contents > add the following line to SnowLeopard.vmx (to mask the CPU since new CPUs are not supported by versions prior to 10.6.7): cpuid.1.eax = "0000:0000:0000:0001:0000:0110:1010:0101"
For previous QuickTime download, you should know that the download page has been no longer updated by Apple. You are able to download a previous version of QuickTime 6.4 for Windows from the link below. The QuickTime 6.4 is covered by a software license agreement.
SynciOS, a free alternative to itunes, offers the common functions that users need to sync music, videos, photos, etc. from a PC to iPhone, iPod, and iPad. During the process of importing songs and videos to device, it will convert the incompatible files to iDevice friendly formats. It allows users to backup media files, like songs, photos, and videos from iPhone, iPad, and iPod to PC. It's a good tool except it lack ability to export music directly to iTunes Library. Also, it only works on Windows PC. 2ff7e9595c
